Back of the Born Low shirt I did the graphic for. It came out tough even if all the details didn’t print. Pick one up!
Thomas’ evil twin
You may not have heard much about Thomas’ evil twin the cyclops. He’s known for bringing terror to young children on the railways so he’s not a parent’s favorite. Not to mention, his headlight is a lot like a laser beam. Vicious stuff! 10-color screen print in an edition of 10. This is the last of my school stuff for the semester. More hardcore coming gear coming soon. Stay tuned!
Wolfpack!
Cheap Thrills!
This was a 2-color separation. Eventually I’ll get to screen print a full edition of these, but for now, I only have a couple. This was a lot of fun working in this process and turning such cultural taboo into funny characters.
5-Color Screen Print
Infected with devils
6-color silkscreen prints. Edition of 10. So far in my critiques, nobody has caught the reference. Then again, I do go to Pratt, and I don’t listen to dubstep. Now that the semester is just about over, I’m able to relax a little and let my guard down. It feels great but it won’t last long before I’m working on some newer stuff. For all the hardcore bands/fans, I’ll have more of that to get finished up. Okay okay okay….

I’ve fallen off for just under a month. I have a ton of work I’ve finished up and can start posting up. I’ll break it up to span the posts a little more. This was a 3-piece series I had to do for illustration. I turned it into a skateboarding theme. It was done in acrylic and ink. I used to paint decks when I was in high school so I though it’d be fun to go back and see what I could bring to the table. With that said, these are wayyyy cooler. Unfortunately, skateboard graphics aren’t as cool as what they were Powell VCJ-era. I love that stuff and wished it was still relevant. Expect more similar work like this.
Trail of …
I haven’t had a chance to do much outside work. I’ve been swamped with school projects. Screen printing my prints has been taking up a lot of my time too. I just threw this together for my buddy’s new side-project band, Trail of Lies. Expect a first show in Syracuse sometime soon
Skateboard series teaser
I just finished up a series of 3 skateboards decks I painted. I shot some pictures but I’m not happy with how they came out, so until I reshoot them, here’s a little detail. More to come!
Speaks for itself….
“You say it’s dead, this thing of ours is gone. Well that’s news to me, I’ve been misinformed. All these years, I could have sworn I was a part of something, a movement that is no more. You want hardcore, real hardcore? They say fuck hardcore, it’s dead. You want hardcore, real deal hardcore? Well, I’m sorry they say it’s dead. I guess your word is law, I wish I would have known. I wasted so much time traveling around the world. All these years, I could have sworn I represented something they say that is no more. You want hardcore, real hardcore? They say fuck hardcore, it’s dead. Well, let me tell you how I feel about it. The best way I know how, I’m gonna scream and shout it. Just so, so you know. Your story’s full of hole, you missed the real show, you fucking assholes. We are the real American hardcore. You obviously don’t care about us. You know who we are but don’t wanna talk about us. Just so, so you know. We still run the show, we kept this thing alive, you fucking assholes.” – Madball
I’m reposting this from Buske’s blog. Madball has been one of my favorite bands, still making records and touring with the same values and style they carried in the 80′s. They have a new records coming out and Reaper just release a 7″ with a couple tracks off of that. You can get it here.

Remember, support real hardcore. There’s plenty of hard-working bands and labels out there. At 20 years old, I love what i’ve been into and I’ve watched countless people move away or stop coming around. I like to stay as involved as I can even if I’m musically declined. As much as I can’t make it out to every show I want to, I’ll continue to do design work for bands as much as I have the time for. To all my friends out there on tour, putting out records and doing their thing, I stand behind you. Hardcore lives! KOTF.
